Open Call for New Local Products
At City Bird and Nest, our buying team searches high and low to source the best unique goods to fill our shops, especially from small local brands and artists. We receive so many excellent suggestions of products and lines to carry throughout the year but only have limited space to fill, so in honor of our 15th Anniversary this year, we're holding an Open Call for New Local Product Submissions for our holiday buying and beyond. This is a streamlined, free, and easy way for Detroit- and Michigan-based artists and small businesses to submit their product lines to be considered by our buying team.
Who can apply?: Anyone in Michigan!Â
What kinds of products will be considered?:Â Any product categories that we currently carry in City Bird or Nest: local pride products, cards and paper goods, art prints, home goods, accessories, jewelry, t-shirts/apparel, kids' toys and books, candles and incense, soap and apothecary goods, plant accessories, glassware, barware, kitchen goods, books and gifts.
How to apply?: Please complete this form for your work or products to be considered.
*Note: If you have not visited our shops in person, before submitting your products for review, please take time to visit or peruse our website to see if what you are selling is a good fit for our shops.*
Timeline:
-Applications will be accepted through August 12th 2024.
-We will review applications and create and submit orders with selected brands by September 16th, 2024. Shortly after this date we will also contact all brands not selected for this round.Â
-Orders must be fulfilled and shipped or delivered no later than November 1st, 2024.
